Salem, Oregon Photographer: Fresh 48 | Lily

There's something absolutely precious about Fresh 48's.  Capturing those first moments in the hospital somewhere between first meeting your little one, to right before you begin your new life together at home.  I LOVE it.

This sweet little lady was born September.3rd, 2017 here in Salem, Oregon.  When you watch the video, you'll get a peek into her last moments at the hospital before she gets to go home!

As a Mama of two little ones, I KNOW how quickly this all goes by.  And I remember the excitement of introducing our daughter to her new baby brother.  These are such sweet memories that I will cherish, and I LOVE that I get to help my clients preserve that moment for themselves.

It is my hope that when Mama watches this years from now, that she will remember the very first time she and her daughters bonded over "this little piggy" in the hospital.  I hope that she smiles when she sees the photo of her older daughter coming into the hospital dressed as Bat Girl (SERIOUSLY, SO CUTE.)  And I hope that when Lily gets older that she will get to see this video and see ALL THE LOVE in that room.  Her Grandparents absolutely spoiling her with love, and her Daddy holding her close, admiring her precious little face.

Welcome to the World, sweet Lily!

P.S. As always, I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the incredible nurses at Salem Hospital.  They are always SO kind and a pleasure to work around!

HEY YA'LL!  I know it's been probably 1.2 million years since I last blogged, but work & life has kept me busy ;)  I *had* to jump on here and share one of my last senior photo sessions because a.) I LOVED working with this gal and she absolutely inspires me b.) The session was total location inspo because it was gorgeous!

She is absolute model material, right??  I'll tell you- this girl is a gem.  She first contacted me because she was interested in college senior photos.  She is graduating from WOU and heading to med school- I didn't even know her yet but I was already proud of her!!  The main reason she wanted to get these photos done because she wanted to honor her parents and how big of a role they have played in her life and her achievements.  As a Mother myself, I instantly got choked up hearing her talk about how grateful she is to them for their constant love and support over the years.  AND WHEN I SAW HER DECORATED CAP :')

Like, seriously?  I was so touched because as a parent because this is all we really want, right?  To know with absolute certainty that we have given our children ALL the tools they need to achieve their dreams.  She told me that even if it was 2:00am she could have called them and they would have listened to her, encouraged her, and reminded her to keep giving it her all.  She talked so highly of them and with such love- it was so inspiring!  Inspiring to me as a parent, to remind ME to keep giving my own children that unconditional support- but also as a reminder to tell the people we love how much their support means to us.

I'll leave you with this last set of photos for reference of how gorg her session was :)  If you're a photographer in the Salem/Portland area, I highly recommend the Oregon Garden as a session location!  There were so many gorgeous backdrop options- it is worth the drive!

CONGRATULATIONS to this beautiful soul!  It was an honor to work with her, and I cannot wait to see what she does with this next life chapter! <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Birth Photography | Evelyn

This is Evelyn's birth story

When I first met Mama, she told me she was interested in having her daughter's birth photographed because she felt like there were so many parts of her son's birth that she wanted to be able to remember better- but it was just such a blur.  A happy, emotional, blur.  I really feel like that is the reason why birth photography is so important to me.. It's TRUE.  The labor and birth of your child is one of the most precious moment's of your life (if not THEE most precious..) It's a time that you wish so badly you could freeze in that moment and return to it years down the road.  When Mama sees this video, I hope it'll pull her right back in, to that day.  To the anticipation of riding in the car for her induction with a doctor that she absolutely LOVED and had such a connection with.  And remembering that she wanted some peanut M&M's while she was laboring (and she got them right after baby arrived!!!)  I want her to remember her husband by her side telling her sweetly he wished there was something he could do to help her- and the way that he looked at her while she was laboring, and how he admired her holding their baby girl.  It is my biggest wish that she will remember how excited her son was when he burst in the room running to see "myyy babyyyyyyy!"  (I'm pretty excited for baby girl to get to see this video someday, too!!!  Her big brother fell in love with her in just seconds!)  I want Mama to see this video and see how beautiful she is, and how beautiful her family is.  She and her husband have created this precious family together, and that is something worth celebrating.

Etzel family, thank you so much for giving me the honor of working with you.

Welcome to the World, sweet Evelyn!

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Birth Photography | Oliver

This is Oliver's birth story

I met with Mama twice before her birth, and we chatted about her hopes and wishes for her delivery. She told me she wanted to try birthing naturally. And she did it. She embraced the waves of contractions, and found this beautiful strength within her. When her sweet boy arrived, he cried for a moment, and instantly calmed on her chest. He was peaceful, alert, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.

“THERE IS A SECRET IN OUR CULTURE AND IT IS NOT THAT BIRTH IS PAINFUL BUT THAT WOMEN ARE STRONG”. -Laura Stavoe

There is so much I want to say about this birth.  I want to tell you about how calm, and peaceful this beautiful, laboring Mama was.  I want to tell you about how I witnessed a woman working with her body to bring her baby into the World.  She chose not to use any type of pain relief.  (No epidural, or anything else)  Her husband was by her side the whole time, and at one point, he said something to the effect of "she's got this."  Tianna's birthing space was full of support, full of LOVE, and I think she could feel that we ALL believed in her, and knew how powerful she was in this moment.  You'll notice in the video that her smile radiates between her contractions, and into transition.  I want to tell you about how she made the decision to cut her own umbilical cord, like the incredible, fierce Mama that she is.  I want you to see how she embraced the waves of contractions, and trusted the power of her body.  Most of all, I want to tell you what an honor it was to be in the room with her, and to witness such strength.  Her strength is an inspiration to me, and to all the women that come after her.  This is the birth of Oliver Warren Scott Carroll.

I had so much fun working with this family!  1.)  Their outfits together were totally Pinterest-worthy  (uhhh, it is a challenge to figure out outfits for 10 people that coordinate- but aren't too matchy-matchy)  2.)  Mom & Dad have been married for over 20 years, and are still so in love. It was beautiful to witness!  3.) There were ALOT of laughs in our hour together!

8 / 13 / 16 ANNOUNCEMENT: Fall session info will be released soon.  Stay tuned!

Amazing portrait session locations around Salem can be hard to come by!  Especially one's that are beautiful and somewhat private.  But I always, always find ways to MAKE the background unique to my clients style- and am constantly out scouting great spots.  SOO when I had a connection to this gorgeous gem right here with those Oregon valleys in the background, I was ecstatic!  Here is another session I did at the same location that day.  Just beautiful!

One type of Portrait Sessions that is often overlooked is just plain COUPLES.  Not Engagement photos, not waiting until after you have kids for Family Photos.. But the Portraits of you and your spouse, AFTER the Wedding, and BEFORE having kids.  Why is this precious time so often overlooked?! :)  My gorgeous Sister in Law & her husband try to do a portrait session around every year on their Anniversary.  I can't tell you how much I love that idea!  It's been so fun to see how much they have changed every year, and these will be incredible memories to look back on someday.  When it was just them <3

So.. Since I'm here, I have to point out how amazing my SIL is.  She is one of my closest friends, and she inspires me everyday.  She lives with Type 1 Diabetes.

“Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food...”

”..Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D, and—at present—nothing you can do to get rid of it.”

The reason why I wanted to point that out about her, is because I wanted to be a little reminder that you have a CHOICE in the way you handle life circumstances.  She was diagnosed when she was a child, and has never let it hold her back from doing anything she has put her mind to.  She doesn't EVER complain, she doesn't ever ask for pity, she just handles it- like she doesn't even have it.  I think it is the most beautiful reminder to EVERYONE, that whatever challenges we face, we are in charge of how we let it affect us, and those around us.  You are amazing, sister! <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Fresh 48 | Finnley's Story

"Family is not defined by our genes, it is built and maintained through love."

 -Amalia G., Independent Adoption Center

Yesterday was an incredibly emotional day for me.  I had the incredible honor of photographing a very special Fresh 48.  I'll give you a little bit of a back story!

Salem, Oregon Photographer | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com | Fresh 48- An Open Adoption Story | Finnley Thomas

I am a part of a Mom's group on Facebook, and a few months ago, a woman made a post in the group about how after three YEARS of waiting, she and her husband had been matched with a an AMAZING birth Mom for an Open Adoption.  *They were FINALLY getting their little one!*  (But what they ended up getting was SO much more than that!)  Anyway, it just struck a chord in my heart.  I choked up a little bit just reading her post about how excited she was.  I thought about contacting her to see if she may be interested in a Fresh 48 session, but I didn't want to sound like a weirdo!  Haha!! It was one of those moments in life where you think to yourself, "should I reach out..? No..? Too forward?" Hahah!  I have a lot of moments like that ;)  I put the idea to the back of my mind and went on with my life.  Sometime after that, the woman made another post or commented on something, and I recognized her name.  All my thoughts came flooding back, and I just felt so compelled to contact her.  At the risk of sounding like a crazy person, I reached out and told her how moved I was by their journey and how I would be soo honored if I could capture some memories for them at the hospital.  To my surprise, she wrote back and said that she would talk to the Birth Mom and see what she thought about all of it!  I got another message later saying they were TOTALLY on board, and wanted to hire me.  AHHHHHH!!! <3  We spoke the next day on the phone, and she said something that I'll never forget!  She told me that just the day before, her and her husband were talking about how it would be really amazing if they had someone photograph some of these moments for them.  UMMMM GOOSEBUMPS!!  (THAT totally sealed the deal for me.  This was MEANT to be.)

Salem, Oregon Photographer | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com | Fresh 48- An Open Adoption Story | John, Britt & Kayla with sweet little Finnley

As I got to know Kayla, she shared with me how incredibly close she was to the Birth Mom, Britt +  her two sweet kiddos and how they LITERALLY had become a family throughout all this.  (Seriously, cue all the tears.)  She sent me some photos of them cooking breakfast together on Mother's Day, and just hanging out at the house together!  She also shared some BEAUTIFUL maternity photos they had done.  I was so moved.  To be honest with you, I didn't know very much about open adoptions.  But I will tell you one of the reasons I wanted to be there to photograph them that day.  I wanted them to be able to see themselves in that moment.  For Britt to see herself holding little Finnley (SUCH A CUTE NAME!)  I wanted Kayla & John to be able to see themselves becoming PARENTS, cuddling with their little man, and most importantly, I wanted Finnley to be able to see these photos someday.  It is my prayer that he will be able to look at these photos when he is older, and see three ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE adults, that LOVE him more than anything in the World.  Three beautiful people, that worked together, to create this precious life for him.  You guys.. He is SOOOOOOO loved already.

Here are some of my favorites from my time with them.

When Kayla and I were first talking, she told me how long they had prayed that a birth mother would pick them that also wanted an Open Adoption.  And it was Britt's desire to find the perfect family very early on in her pregnancy so that they could experience the pregnancy with her.  So Kayla and John were able to go to appointments, to hear his sweet little heartbeat, and share in the joys of pregnancy with her!  She told me they talked every day, and saw each other AT LEAST once a week.  Britt gave them the gift of parenthood in the most beautiful way, and they have truly become a family.  (They call themselves "The Tribe!")  As you can imagine, I cried as I read through her e-mails.  Finnley will grow up knowing Britt, and his big brother and sister, and get to experience ALL of their love.  I am so in awe of this family!

Aren't they amazing?  Sweet little Finnley is so blessed.  I wanted to give Kayla, John, and Britt the biggest THANK YOU for letting me get a glimpse into your beautiful, precious journey.  I know my life has been changed just knowing you all.  You are an inspiration, and an image of HOPE for so many people.  XO

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Product Photography | Copper Mug

Happy 4th of July weekend!  I'm working on some product photography and made this delish drink for the shoot.. It looked so good I had to share it!  There are tons of amazing recipes online for Moscow Mules!  I used the "classic" recipe that came with the mug from PureCopper. (Buuut added a couple things because that's what I do to recipes. Hahah!)  I picked up some fresh cherries + limes from the grocery store and this happened:

Salem, Oregon Photographer | Product Photography | Cherry + Lime Moscow Mule | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

Holy YUUUM!  Here's the recipe I used-

- Pour 2oz. vodka into your copper mug

- Squeeze juice of 1/2 lime

- Add ice

- Fill with 5oz. Ginger Beer

- Garnish with a cherry & a wedge of lime

*I muddled a few cherries at the bottom of the cup before I added the ingredients : )

OH the sweetness.  I did this Fresh 48 Session right after this Birth, and I'm so happy I could be there to capture these first moments!  I'll take you through some of my favorites <3

Fresh 48 Hospital Session | Hospital Birth + Fresh 48 Photography | Salem, Oregon | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

One super special thing about Fresh 48 photography, is that you are able to photograph family members meeting the sweet new addition!  In this case, little man had his two big sisters come meet him!  Along with his Grandparents & Aunties : )  He was a little celebrity!

After things calmed down a little, I focused on getting those first portraits of Mommy & baby, and of course baby and Daddy.  I'm obsessed with this one!

Annnnnnd, these two pictures below make my heart swell.  I know that I always talk about remembering going through these emotions & moments myself with my kids- but I truly think that is what makes a great lifestyle photographer.  When you have experienced these moments in life, it makes it so much easier to know the tiny, fleeting moments to capture.

Fresh 48 Hospital Session | Mommy & her new baby | Hospital Birth + Fresh 48 Photography | Salem, Oregon | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

I see so much beauty in the photo of Mama and her baby.  I think that EVERY Mother remembers those first few hours with her newborn.  Gazing down at their teeny tiny features, tracing along their perfect little face and wondering how on Earth you created something so BEAUTIFUL.  SOMEONE so beautiful.  This precious little gift.  There are truly no other feelings like it in this World.  I took these pictures about a minute between eachother, because when I saw the way Mama was looking at him, I knew that the *moment* was happening.  So, so sweet.  Like I said, there's nothing like it.

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Product + Food Photography | Granny Fi's Shortbread

Happy Thursday, friends!  Today's post comes with food photography featuring Granny Fi's Scottish Shortbread, AND a little story : )  Before I begin, here is a peek at Fi's famous shortbread-

Salem, Oregon Photographer | Traditional Scottish Shortbread + Coffee | Food + Product Photography | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

Gahhhhh!! Everytime I go through these photos I want to eat them. Haha!  #Foodphotographerproblems ;)  Anyway.  Back to my story!  So, as you may know, photographs are EXTREMELY important to me.  Not just digital files.  But, PHOTOGRAPHS.  Beautiful, tangible pieces of art featuring the people or things you love most in life.  Since I believe in printed photos SO MUCH, I include 10 fine art prints in my portrait package.  Another thing you should know about me, I love spoiling people- especially my sweet clients!  SO, when my clients receive their prints from me (and any other products they order) I like to include a little thank you gift.

Fast forward to Fall 2015 : )  I had been looking all over Salem to partner with a special bakery who's products that I LOVED, but also had similar business values as myself.  Working with a local business who has excellent customer service is HUUUUUUGE for me.  I contacted several bakeries in our area, but hadn't found the right one.  Then, one evening I went to an event with some girlfriends and I came across a little table with these shortbread cookies artfully placed on it.  The woman behind the table was super sweet, and I could tell that she just LOVES her job.  We tried a sample of her shortbread, and it was *prettttty* amazing.  Like, REALLY amazing.  She had so many fun flavors, so I bought a few!  As our evening progressed, we all set our stuff down to take a photo.  When I turned to grab my bag of items I had purchased from the vendors- MY BAG WAS MISSING!  Someone had grabbed my bag when we weren't looking :(  I was so bummed!  Sooo, I went back to the tables to re-purchase what was stolen from me, and when I went back to Granny Fi's table, Fiona was SO KIND, and gave me back what I had purchased from her- at no charge!! WHO DOES THAT!?  I was floored that someone who didn't even know me, took it upon herself to do something kind for someone else, without asking for anything in return.  At that moment, I knew I wanted to order client gifts from her.  Someone who has an incredible product- but more importantly- has a big heart.  I'm so happy to have met her!

Salem, Oregon Photographer | Traditional Scottish Shortbread with Oregon Hazelnuts + Coffee | Food + Product Photography | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

Probably one of the coolest things about this shortbread (besides the delicious melt-in-your-mouth quality!!!) is that she bakes it in all kinds of different flavors.  She has the traditional, hazelnut, lemon, lavender (one of my FAVES!), cinnamon, and several other kinds.

Salem, Oregon Photographer | Lemon Scottish Shortbread | Food + Product Photography | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

DOESN'T THAT LOOK SO GOOD!?  I can't get over them.  So, if you are my client, you can look forward to getting to try these yummy treats!  OR, Fiona is frequently at Saturday Markets in the Portland + Oregon City areas.  Check with her facebook to see where she will be next!  You can also order from her website + she ships!  www.grannyfis.com

I think one of my favorite things about Fresh 48 sessions, is the unposed/lifestyle feel to them. I always have a lifestyle/documentary photographer approach when I do portraits.  It is important for me to few traditional poses in, but the photos that tug on my heartstrings are natural interactions between the families I am photographing, and the sweet little details.

Salem, Oregon Photographer | Fresh 48 | www.shelbyblantonphotography.com

These two photos below were a couple of my favorites.  His tiny fingers!  <3  As a Mama myself, that picture below of baby next to the hospital bed is so sweet to me, because it brings back memories.  I can remember that feeling of being in my hospital bed, and looking over at my own precious baby in the bassinet next to me.  THESE are the types of memories that I LOVE preserving for my clients.

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Senior Portraits | Brit

I'm the type of person that literally celebrates everything.  I think that every great milestone in life deserves a little acknowledgment, especially achievements in education.  Getting High School Senior photos done is important, but so is capturing your Senior year of college.  You can use them for graduation announcements, or invitations- or simply to look back on and say " I remember what I have accomplished.  I am so so proud of how far I've come, and where I'm GOING!"   Not to mention..  After ALLL the studying you have done, the sacrifices you have made, and the work you have put towards your degree- you DESERVE a celebration!

This gorgeous gal is graduating from Western Oregon University, and I was so excited to photograph this time for her!

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Birth Photography | Date Night with Doulas

Last week I hosted a table at the Date Night with Doulas event in downtown Salem, Oregon.  It was held at Crema Tea Room (they have AH-MAZING coffee and Bubble Tea, by the way) and I was so excited to do an event with these ladies!  Bloom Lactation, Mamaroo: Mid-Willamette Valley Baby Wearers, and an incredible group of Doula's including The Salem Doulas were all there.

It ended up being a super fun evening, and I was so happy to get to know these inspiring women!  As a Birth Photographer, I am drawn to the beauty of birth and all that surrounds it.  I have so much respect for the birthing Mama, for her partner, for the medical professionals, and for the support that she has; before birth, during, and postpartum.

As the evening was coming to a close, I was able to get a few shots in!  The gift bags for Mama full of coupons & little treats, some of the amazing women that were there, the Butterfly Tree (SUCH a beautiful idea!) and a few items from the giveaways!  HELLO Earth Mama Angel Baby products- (My family LOVES the Angel Baby Orange Vanilla wash & Non-Scents lotion!)

On a personal note- choosing the best birth support team for you (Doula, breastfeeding counselor, photographer, postpartum Doula etc.) is such an important decision.  I loved the idea of getting to sit down and "interview" each of us and see what kind of connection we have.  It is important to feel safe, understood, and supported during such a sacred time in your life. If you are reading this, and expecting, just know there are so many of us here in the Salem area that are here to support you!  (And in my case, to capture this precious milestone for you!)  I know that I would have loved to have any of these sweet women with me on my birth journey <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Birth Photography | Braxton

You know those birth video's where babies are born en route to the hospital?  This birth story was almost one of these.  Mama got checked into L&D at 8:11am and sweet little man arrived in a hurry at 9:12... YEP you read that right!

Braxton Zade | 4.16.16

So, Mama was 40.6 days pregnant, and had a scheduled induction for 4/17.  Judging by how her pregnancy was, I had a sneaking suspicion that little guy might come before then.  I joked with her, that he will probably decide to come the day before her induction.  HE DID!  I woke up to my phone ringing at 6:56am with Mama saying "My water broke!"  She said the contractions weren't SUPER close together, but I jumped up and grabbed my bags and a cup of coffee and waited for word.  A few moments later I got a text from her.. "They are getting pretty close together- and strong."  I told her I was headed to the hospital!  (Side note.. I had a SUPER SUPER fast labor with my little guy, and her pregnancy reminded me SO much for mine, I just felt like it was going to be quick!!)  I got to the Salem Health Family Birth Center at the Hospital and headed up to L&D.  When I got there, she was in triage getting checked in.

After that, things went..... QUICK.

Her midwife and L&D nurses were BEYOND incredible <3

Like I said, it went quick : )

Welcome to the World, precious boy!

I'll leave you with the slideshow from this incredible birth story.  This might sound silly, but this video makes me cry every time I see it!  I think the part that gets me the most, is knowing that Mama's Mother was supposed to be in the delivery room, but her birth literally went SO fast she missed it by just minutes.  However, I was able to capture her family's expressions as they first met their sweet little addition.  And, the first boy in their family for a while!  It was just beautiful. Young Family, I was SO honored to help preserve this beautiful moment for you <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Headshots | Kellye

When I did my blossom sessions a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing a few headshots for this beauty!  (AND her sweetest little pup, Lady!)

HOW GORGEOUS IS SHE!?  I mean, REALLY!?  And the best part- she is one of the sweetest gal's I know.  We did these at the most perfect location- The Barn PNW in Dayton, Oregon.  Just a quick drive outside of Salem, Oregon.  << P.S: If you are in the market for a wedding venue- click that link above! >>  It is seriously a stunning location.  Cherry blossom orchards, a huge barn with an amazing exterior AND beautiful interior..  I could go on and on!  I literally want to marry my husband again just so we can do it there.  HA!  Here's a few more from our time together!

I KNOWWWWW, I know, I know! So gorgeous, its not even FAIR! <3

And while I was there, I had to get a few shots of the scene..

Can you believe all that beauty!?  Those gorgeous doors slide open to create a stunning indoor/outdoor space for events.  Love, love, love!  Okay, I'm signing off- but wanted to leave you with one last shot of this doll!  ALSO- I have to give a shoutout to the super talented MUA Jenna of Jenna's Beauty Bar, on the make-up!  I was dying watching her do her thang with the airbrush application <3  www.instagram.com/jennasbeautybar

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Family | Tulip Farm Part II

I'm back with more from the Tulip Farm!  We had such a fun time in the sunshine that day.  Have you been out there yet?  It's in Woodburn, just a quick 30ish minute drive from Salem.  I'm already planning another trip out there before the festival is over : )

A was loving being able to run up and down the tulip rows!  I can hardly stand that sweet little face!

The girls & their gorgeous mama!

Sweet little O <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Lifestyle | Eggs

When your sweet sister & brother in law give you fresh eggs from their chickens, and they are THIS BEAUTIFUL, you just haaaave to do a photoshoot with them!  Grabbed my favorite wood serving platter, fresh dill & a bowl, and ta-da!  Not only are these eggs pretty, they are soooo good.  Have you had fresh, local eggs?

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Family | Tulip Farm

YOU GUYS.  The tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm are in bloom, and they are just breathtaking!  Since we are having the most beautiful sunshine and warm weather this week, we decided to take a trip there with our friends.  The kids all had a blast playing on the toys, and walking.. ahem.. (running;)) through the field! I was able to get a few shots of them, and just had to share one of my faves I got of my kids.  You might notice my son is covered in mud.  It's because he is two, and his nickname is "honey badger." I didn't edit any of it out, because its HIM, and I love his crazy, messy, toddler self! We all got a good laugh when he literally destroyed his outfit 5 minutes into being there. HAHA!  Stay tuned for more photos from our trip to the farm!

The tulip fest is open until May.1st this year, make sure to go check it out! <3

Salem, Oregon Photographer: Products | Keepsake Photo Box

While frames are one of my favorite ways to display family photos, you're also going to want an option for storing your fine art prints.  These personalized Keepsake Photo Boxes are a beautiful and functional option!  This one below is one that I purchased for myself personally (I only sell what I LOVE and what I also use!)  These 8x10 smooth matte boxes have a textured fabric interior where the photographs sit, and a satin pull ribbon for lifting them out.  The lid also has a magnetic closure that keeps the box securely fastened.

You could also fill these boxes with 4x6 prints, or even jewelry/memorable items.    I just LOVE the look and the functionality of them!

I decided on a matted fine art prints for my personal family photo box, but 8x10 prints (See the lower left corner picture of that gorgeous fam!)  fit PERFECTLY as another option.  The fab thing about these boxes, is they come with a display easel so you can switch out whichever photograph you want displayed at that time.  Super fun!  AND, these are stunning on coffee tables OR bookshelves!  How do you preserve or display your family photos?
